About Our Guest
Stephanie Erickson, author of the award-winning book Plan for Aging Well, holds a master’s degree in social work and is a Certified Alzheimer’s Disease and Treatment Specialist licensed in both California and Quebec.
Her 25 years of experience spans child welfare, home care and hospice, school-based practice, community work, and private clinical practice. In recent years, she has specialized in geriatrics as a caregiving consultant and cognitive capacity expert for those living with dementia and their families.
Currently, she is in private practice as a psychotherapist, provides clinical supervision to graduate students pursuing a Master of Counseling at the Cal State University Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center, and is a forensic standard of care expert in child and elder welfare for Park Dietz & Associates. As a Family Caregiving Expert, Stephanie has hosted several caregiving web series and provides commentary on television, radio, and social media throughout the U.S. and Canada. She delivers keynotes related to aging and caregiving as well as her personal journey with anxiety.
Stephanie is passionate about encouraging others to take control of their health and an advocate for vulnerable populations.
